Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) Awardees
This group of companies are pre-qualified under the MATOC and are eligible to bid on future renewable energy task orders. As renewable energy opportunities at Army installations are assessed and validated, a competitive task order Request for Proposal will be issued to this group for the specific technology.
20 MW Solar PV - Fort Bliss, Texas
Fort Bliss is located in the state of Texas with range lands extending into New Mexico. Fort Bliss is home to an estimated 35,000 soldiers. Potential for increased demand with the construction of a new hospital. The project proposes that all electricity from the 20 MW PV facility will be consumed by Fort Bliss.
18.6 MW Solar PV - Fort Detrick, Maryland
Fort Detrick is a Net Zero installation with a goal of being Net Zero energy by 2020. The proposed PV system will be designed as "micro-grid ready" so that it may be connected to a future micro-grid and thereby contribute to the overall energy security of the installation.
15 to 28 MW Biomass Facility - Fort Drum, New York
Fort Drum provides planning and support for the mobilization and training of almost 80,000 troops annually. The project intends that all electricity from the 15-28 MW Biomass facility would be consumed by Fort Drum.
15 MW Solar PV - Fort Irwin, California
Fort Irwin National Training Center (NTC) is located in the Mojave Desert of California. This will be the Army’s first renewable energy project in the Mojave Desert.
52 MW Bio-Diesel Power Plant - Schofield Barracks, Hawaii
USAG-HI provides quality services, installation facilities, training and recreational centers to nearly 90,000 soldiers, civilians and family members stationed in Hawaii. USAG-HI is headquartered at Wheeler Army Airfield; Kunia Camp, Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield are the three installations that will benefit from this project.
